I came up with this one weekend when I had a whole bunch of blood oranges I needed to use. It was fantastic, but of course then I didn't know what to call it. So I started calling it the nameless, and of course then it stuck. This is a delicious, refreshing whisky cocktail, perfect for a warm spring or summer evening.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Maker's Mark Bourbon
  • 1 oz Solerno Blood Orange Liqueur
  • 1/4 oz honey syrup
  • 1/2 oz fresh mandarin or blood orange juice
  • 1/2 oz lemon juice
  • 1 strip blood orange peel for garnish

Instructions

  • Place a large ice rock in an old fashioned glass and run the orange peel around the rim.
  • Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice and add all the ingredients. Shake thoroughly until cold. Strain into the prepared glass and serve immediately.
